How MM2.Rocks works
Sources, method and limits. Last reviewed October 2026.
Where the listed values come from
The value shown on an item page is the value published by MM2Values, a value list run by Murder Mystery 2 traders since 2017. An automated job reads their list once a day. We do not set these values and we do not present them as ours. Demand and stability ratings come from the same list.
What we record ourselves
The source list shows today's number and nothing else. Every time a listed value moves, we keep the old value, the new value and the date. That record is the Value History on each item page. On most days nothing changes, and we say so rather than implying daily movement.
A jump of more than 50% in a single day, on an item listed at 100 or more, is held back until the source shows the same number on a second check. That stops a typo or a broken read from being published as a value.
Trade-board evidence
Item pages also show figures from the Iglups trade board, which is run by the same team as this site. On Iglups, players post MM2 items they have and items they want, and swap item for item. No money and no Robux are involved. Three counts appear on an item page:
- Put up for trade: listings that offer the item.
- Asked for: listings that want the item.
- Used in an offer: offers made on someone else's listing that included the item.
Below the counts are answered offers: what was listed, what was offered for it, and whether the lister accepted. Only item names and totals leave Iglups. No usernames, accounts or listing links are shared with this site.
How to read an answered offer
Declined is the firmer signal. It says the offer was not enough for that lister. Accepted says someone was willing, which includes people who wanted the trade over with. Many listings are withdrawn within a few hours, before a good offer arrives. So one accepted offer is not a price. Several declines at one level and accepts at another put the going rate somewhere between them.
The numbers in brackets beside each basket are today's listed values, added so the two sides can be compared. They are not what the items were listed at on the day.
What we cannot tell you
- We do not see trades made inside the game. The board is a sample, and for many items a small one.
- A listed value is the judgement of a value team, not a measured price.
- We do not publish real-money prices. MM2 items are traded for other items.
- Items the board has never seen show no trade-board section at all, rather than a zero.
